Please consider the variety of ways youcan support STAIR of Birmingham in its mission of improving reading skills and self-esteem in second graders. There are no fees for the schools or the families of participating children, and STAIR depends on businesses, foundation,s and individuals to help fund our entire program.
Giving Tree cards for the holidays are a great way to honor someone with a donation to STAIR. These cards are available through Independent Presbyterian and will be available just before Thanksgiving.

STAIR only teaches reading skills to our students. However, we realize that many of our children are poor performers in math, as well. We are told they are weak in the "concept of numbers." This means they should physically play with things that involve counting, adding and subtracting. Tutors use several games which do this after the child has completed the STAIR lesson.
